Unique Curtains For Every Room In The House

Beaded Curtains

You have just entered a fantasy world of different shapes, sizes, colors and finishes that will delight the senses. Most beaded curtains are made of acrylic and hung in place of a door in a doorway.  But they can also be used to hang on the windows.  When hung on the windows if privacy is an issue you can always hang blinds or a shade under them.  You can also hang them on the windows right over existing curtains to add a sparkle to the room.  You are only limited by your imagination.

There are different qualities of beaded curtains.  Some are made of thin, cheap looking plastic beads that are painted.  The higher quality beads are made of a heavier acrylic with the color in the acrylic.  The material that connects the beads can also vary in quality so always make sure it is sturdy enough to last.

There are almost an infinite number of bead designs to choose from.  There are as many as 200 different shapes and sizes. You can choose to have just one shape or you can make a pattern using a variety of different shapes.  You can choose from iridescent or non-iridescent.  And if color isn't your thing, crystal bubbles will just about go anywhere. If you can't find exactly what you want you can even have a custom beaded curtain made to your specifications.

A really beautiful pattern that is very popular is made by using the raindrop beads.  Most of the beads in the curtain are the standard round ones.  Then a pattern is made with the raindrop beads.  By putting the larger raindrop beads in a swag pattern you can create a valance look.  This is very attractive. There are also valances by themselves made totally out of beads.

Another popular pattern is a zigzag pattern.  As with any pattern, different colors can be used as well as different size beads.   One funky idea is to use the same color with all different shapes. There are also different shaped beads, such as stars and moons that can be randomly scattered throughout the beaded curtains. You aren't limited to just acrylic beads.  There are all different colors of pearls.  And there is every color of metal bead you can imagine.

Beaded curtains are a cinch to hang.  The beads are usually hung on one rod.  On top of the rod at each end there are little eyelets already installed.  All you need to do is install correctly spaced hooks on the top of the door or window.  Then just slip the eyelets on the rod over the hooks and that's it!

Always check before you buy but most of the beaded curtains can just be cut to the length you want without any problem at all. If you need a larger width just hang two or more curtains side by side and they will look like one large curtain. If they are too wide, most of them have a really simple way to make the width smaller.
